North County High School Day of Jazz

The 5th Annual North County High School Day of Jazz will be hosted at North County High School in Bonne Terre, MO on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022. Our goal for this event is to provide a FREE positive, educational clinic experience for students and directors. Each clinic will be 50 minutes in length.

Our evening concert with the North County Jazz Bands and our guest clinician / artist is set to begin at 7:00pm. Admission is free! Come join the fun!

We are very excited to announce that our 2022 Guest Clinician / Artist is Mr. Tommy Perry!

Tommy Perry  is currently the Director of Bands at Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri and was formerly the Director of Middle School Bands and Assistant Band Director for the Warren Co R-3 school district.  As Director of Bands at Fox High School, Mr. Perry coordinates and directs the 140+ Marching Warriors, 3 curricular Jazz Ensembles, 3 curricular wind ensembles, a pep band, as well as teaching AP Music Theory. In addition to teaching at school, Mr. Perry teaches a studio of private trumpet lessons and serves the ECD7 as the High School Jazz VP.  

As a trumpeter and performer, Mr. Perry is involved in and around the St. Louis area and frequently plays with groups ranging from chamber ensembles, jazz combos, big bands, Hip Hop/R & B, as well as a Chicago/ Blood Sweat and Tears Cover band. He has had the opportunity to play in ensembles alongside artists such as Dick Oats (Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra), Roger Ingram, Marilyn Maye, Steve Wiest, and more. Mr. Perry holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri as well as a Masters Degree in Instrumental Music Education from the Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington.  In his free time, Mr. Perry resides in Hillsboro, Missouri  and enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting archery, as well as spending time with his lovely wife, Kaitlyn, and their four cats, Stanley, Shirley, Sonnie, and Salem.

At this time, we are accepting the first 3 registered bands. We will be accepting one band per school unless there are additional available slots within two weeks of the clinic date. Any additional bands will be placed on a waiting list.
